Once Upon a Tyre is an upcycling business that creates and designs eco-friendly furniture and accessories from discarded tyres. It is a modern and sustainable solution to the numerous used tyres being burnt and being dumped into the sea, on the streets and all over Ghana.
Our tyre products are made with, plywood, fabrics ,nylon rope and other materials: transformed into stylish and retro modern pieces that can be used both indoors and outdoors spaces such as, gardens, lawns, playgrounds, pool areas and other outdoor facilities.
We are committed to increasing the awareness of social, and environmental responsibility, making a positive impact, as well as creating platforms for young creative minds that are passionate about changing their world.

It all started when a friend of mine asked to have our old car tyres for the children in her pre-school. I started stacking up tyres for her. Whenever he saw the stack of tyres, my husband would ask our driver to get rid of them. In my frustration, I imagined that there must be a sustainable way to keep old tyres. I did some research and within a few months, Once Upon a Tyre was born.
